It is with great regret that we have had to cancel the Tockwith track day that was planned for Sunday, 1st August. The reason is that when we booked, we were promised marshals, but at the 11th hour, they have gone back on it and asked us to provide them. To continue would represent unacceptable risk to members and their families, and would also be a risk to the club since it does not have the resources to underwrite such a high risk. Whilst there has been debate about how many would attend, this is not the reason for cancelling, as we have had sufficient feedback to confirm there would have been many members attending. Please accept the Committee’s regret for the short notice, but we have no choice but to make this decision on behalf of the members and the club. Any monies paid over by members for this event will be refunded in full. I would be grateful if those members who read this could pass it on to those who do not use the forum.
